Marathon Polyester Embroidery Thread
Through the years we have tried virtually every brand of thread in our commercial business. We liked the sheen and sewing qualities of rayon, but disliked the way it faded and the risk that it would bleed on a customer's clothes. We liked the colorfast qualities of polyester, but the sheen and color choices were not as good as rayon.
A couple of years ago we tried Marathon poly and we were very impressed with the results. They sew as well or better than any thread we've used, the sheen is great, 321 colors and the price is phenomenal!! We had no trouble changing the thread in our shop to Marathon Poly and now stock all 321 colors in mini cones.
Mini cones are 1,000 meter (1,100 yards) $1.75

Starter Thread Kit
With 306 colors to choose from, where do you begin?? We have assembled a light a medium and a dark of yellow, orange, pink, red, blue, purple, green, brown and grey. Of course we added white and black! With this kit, you should be able to substitute one of these colors for those found in most designs. For example, if the design has a light, medium and dark green for the leaves, you just use the light, medium and dark green in your kit.
